Church Libraries
McKenzie Library
The McKenzie Library, Trinity's library
for adults, is located in Room 109 in the alcove facing Duval
Street.
First
established in 1952 next door to its present location, the Library
housed both adult and children's books. In 1985, with the
renovation of Trinity Hall, the Library was moved and reorganized.
Children's books are now on the second floor in the Carolyn Hart
Memorial Library, Room 206.
The
adult library was named the McKenzie Library in 1986 by the board of
Trustees in honor of Mr. and Mrs. W. Guy McKenzie in recognition of
their devoted service and generous support of Trinity Church.
Books
for Sunday School class use, devotionals, Bible study, family
concerns, inspirational and recreational reading and on many other
subjects are to be found in the Library. Some video tapes are also
available.
The
card catalog is currently being converted from a traditional format
to a computerized format. Books may be checked out for three weeks,
except reference books, which do not circulate. Books may be
renewed if not requested by someone else. There is no limit to the
number checked out and no fines are charged. It is expected that
lost books will be paid for or replaced.
The
Library is open almost every Sunday morning. During the week, the
library can be opened by a staff member upon request.
