As we move into July and August, we are beginning our search for a new Communication Coordinator. To view the ad for the position, CLICK HERE. Spencer Schrowang resigned his position effective May 15, 2021. In lieu of our monthly Tidings, your pastors wanted to share a brief update on the ministry and mission of Trinity. Please also keep an eye on our weekly News & Notes email which goes out every Tuesday with important Trinity announcements and updates!
We are excited to be able to return to in-person worship, and though we have had challenges to overcome, your staff have done an excellent job trying to navigate the many twists and turns of reopening all of our buildings for the summer. Baptisms, weddings and funerals have recently been scheduled in our Sanctuary and Chapel, and most feel safe with a “mask-optional” policy for building entrance and use. We continue to monitor the CDC Guidelines and are doing everything in our power to ensure our congregation is safe from any infections of the COVID-19 virus. Our preschool re-opened for classes on July 6, 2020, and the church reopened for in-person worship on September 20, 2020. We will celebrate almost a year of re-opening since the pandemic began just before Easter of 2020. We are grateful for our Trustees, Brett Ingram (Facilities Director), and our Sextons (Ben Armistead, Charlotte Matthews, and Patti Groh) for their tireless efforts of sanitizing the building each week on a daily basis. They have been phenomenal. Our staff has learned how to work remotely and in a hybrid configuration to keep the ministry of the church moving forward. Our office hours are 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-4pm on Fridays. However, we recommend reaching out and making an appointment if you’d like to meet in-person with a staff member, since most will continue to work in a hybrid format for the foreseeable future. Last month, we sent out a congregational survey to aid in our planning for the upcoming months. If you would like to see the results of that survey, you can view them by CLICKING HERE.
A special thanks to the congregation for your patience and willingness to abide by our safety and protocol measures. To our knowledge, though some have been hospitalized with COVID-19, we have had no deaths related to the virus in our congregation.
Thank you for continuing to be the church during these unprecedented and challenging times!
