Trinity's Organ

Trinity's organ is a symbol of the church's longstanding commitment to the powerful impact of liturgical music. Our Casavant Frères Opus 3786 was designed to support congregational singing, undergird the Music Ministries of Trinity, and serve as an extension of Trinity's Music Ministries into the community.

After water damage caused significant damage to the former Austin Opus 2409, the Organ Committee was formed in 1996 under the leadership of Dr. Myron Blee to research options and select the best path forward. After research, fundraising efforts, and structural adjustments, the Casavant Frères Opus 3786 was dedicated on December 19, 1999.

Unlike other musical instruments, each pipe organ is a unique creation. In the 120-year history of Casavant Frères, no other organ has been built with the same list of stops, in an identical configuration, or with the particular visual appearance of this instrument. Trinity's Casavant organ, with its 60 ranks and 3,380 pipes,  and remains an integral part of the worship experience at Trinity..

Friends of Music

Friends of Music provides additional financial support to the music ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church to enhance worship and engage the broader community. This support includes, but is not limited to, engaging professional musicians as teachers, performers, and clinicians.

In its work, Friends of Music responds as much as possible to Paul’s educational, spiritual, and doxological mandate to the Church in Colossae: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.” Colossians 3:16, NRSV

Friends of Music relies on your financial and moral support. Your gifts help to enrich the worship life of Trinity United Methodist and to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the community through music and the other arts. Please prayerfully consider how you might be able to support this exciting ministry.
