Director of Traditional Music
Trinity United Methodist Church is seeking a Director of Traditional Music Ministries. A historic United Methodist congregation, Trinity UMC is the oldest congregation in Tallahassee (Tallahassee’s First Church). We are located in the heart of downtown Tallahassee, just steps from the State Capitol, Florida State University, and Florida A&M University. With a widely acclaimed music program that has shaped worship and community life for generations, Trinity seeks a Director of Traditional Music Ministries to carry forward and expand this legacy.
The Director is responsible for leading a vibrant, Christ-centered music ministry that enriches the worship life of the church. This full-time position oversees all aspects of the traditional music program, including choirs and instrumental ensembles for children, youth, and adults. The Director collaborates closely with clergy, staff, and volunteers to plan and carry out worship services, seasonal events, and community engagement opportunities that reflect the church’s mission and the rhythms of the Christian year.
