Trinity United Methodist Church is proud to support two missions churches. In July 2025, these two mission churches will share the appointment of Rev. Will Newton.

Open Hearts UMC

A mission of Trinity United Methodist Church in Monticello, Florida since 2023, Open Hearts UMC encourages you to join for worship in beautiful Monticello, Florida.

We meet each Sunday in the Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church,
located at 209 Dogwood Street, Monticello, Florida.

10:30 a.m. |  Fellowship continues after worship
Parking is available on North Cherry Street and in the bank parking lot (except for the ATM lane). Please reserve the parking spaces directly in front of the church for our Presbyterian friends and use the covered portico for loading and unloading only.

Abundant Grace UMC

Abundant Grace United Methodist Church became a mission of Trinity United Methodist Church in 2025 and encourage you to visit them in Madison, Florida. Abundant Grace UMC holds services in rural Rocky Springs Methodist Church, a church that chose to disaffiliate. These two congregations are living into the future of United Methodism with grace, peacefully coexisting and sharing a common facility.

Rev. "Kenneth" Will Newton



Rev. Kenneth "Will" Newton is a Provisional Member of the Baltimore-Washington Conference, where he has served since July of 2020. He has been appointed to serve both Open Hearts United Methodist Church and Abundant Grace United Methodist Church. Will identifies his purpose as "to promote liberative paradigms of Christian citizenship through reflection, critique and re-imagining our relationships to our political-economic logic(s) and policies." Rev. Newton and his wife Ginny will be moving to Florida and he will begin his tenure on July 3, 2025.
