serving at trinity

Our vibrant and active church community relies on the energy and talents of wonderful volunteers! Serving at church is a vital “next step” to finding your place of belonging at Trinity, and our volunteers say that the satisfaction and fellowship they receive far outweigh the time commitments. Please take a look at the list below to learn about volunteer opportunities. For more information, call the church office at 850-222-1120 or email Rev. Curry at waynecurry@ tumct.org unless otherwise designated below.

Opportunities to Serve at Trinity

Acolytes

On Sundays, children, youth, and adults serve as acolytes during the Liturgical Service worship service at 11:00 a.m. Training is provided.

Altar Guild

Altar Guild teams create floral arrangements for Sunday worship services and occasional special events. Experience with floral arrangement is a plus, but training is provided.

Care Ministry

The Care Ministry team supports and comforts fellow congregants in times of need. This includes making phone calls, delivering flowers, making visits, sending cards, and keeping in touch with individuals.

Club Car Drivers

Help provide transportation access to our Sunday services by shuttling guests from the church parking lot at the Library to our front steps on Park Ave. Ages 21+ only.

Funeral Reception Host

Following funerals at Trinity, families often request a reception in Moor Hall or the Parlor.  This group makes and serves  punch and light refreshments for receptions.

Gardeners

We need plant whisperers who can help keep our Prayer and Memorial Garden beautiful by providing general garden maintenance.

Livestream

Assist our AV Technician during the 9:45 and/or 11:00 a.m. services and occasional special events. Training will be provided.

Music

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord by joining one of our choirs or musical ensembles!

Photography

Photography volunteers will provide content to the Director of Communications for our website, social media, and print publications.

Sound Board Operator / Mixer

Assist our AV Technician during the 9:45 and/or 11:00 a.m. services and occasional special events. Training will be provided.

Ushers / Greeters

Youth Ministry Volunteers

Ushers and greeters arrive about 20 minutes before the worship service to greet congregants and distribute bulletins. Ushers will work as a team to pass the offering plates. Training is provided.

Please call the church office at 850-222-1120 for more information.
Our Director of Youth Ministries often needs volunteers to help with Sunday School, UMYF, mission trips, and other youth activities. If you're interested in working with youth, contact Britton.

Trinity Ministry Dogs

This ministry brings good medicine! A group of Trinity members and their canine companions have successfully completed their training and are ready to visit members of Trinity who have requested a visit from the TMD teams. Trinity Ministry Dogs are prepared to positively influence the lives of people -- from those who are homebound to those who could use some unconditional love. Through this unique ministry, we are sharing the love of Jesus Christ and the friendship of our dogs. Enjoy our "TMDs in the Courtyard" video and meet the members of this ministry!

If you and your dog are interested in serving, please print and complete the TMD Screening Application below. If you would like to request a visit from a TMD Ministry Dog, please complete the form to Request a TMD Visit. Hard copies of both forms are also available in the church office.
